While sourcing materials, we discovered that many traditional crafts and heritage techniques used to create them were endangered. This realisation transformed the collection into a cause, driving my determination to see it through and expose the threat of human expression fading into extinction.

The collection aims to tell a series of stories, serving as a medium of expression and a reflection of the contemporary zeitgeist. It is designed to evoke emotion through functionality and time - an evolving, dynamic and living relationship between object and user.
handicraft vs industrial craft
Each model in the leather range has been handmade from start to finish in small batches with manual tools and dies to replicate the consistency and precision of machines. The primary materials are heritage leather and brass with touches of modern innovation.
Juxtaposing the traditional method of production is where human labour converges with modern machinery. Though hand-patterned, the pieces are sewn with machines—still very much a human endeavour yet influenced by industrial techniques. The materials here are evolved heritage textiles, bridging the past with contemporary innovation.

The materials themselves are living expressions of craft, refined over time. Working with them hands-on has been a humbling experience, fostering a deeper connection and understanding of their nuances beyond the surface.

The modularity of the collection adds another layer of functionality, flexibility, and play, creating a seamless interaction between the two distinct ranges demonstrating co-existence, interdependence, and cohesion across contrasting elements.
